The 8th International Conference in Evolutionary Linguistics (CIEL-8) will be held August 8-10, 2016 (note the change in date) at Indiana University, Bloomington. Registration will begin in the Spring (date to be announced). Previous CIEL conferences have been held in Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Xiamen, and last year again in Tianjin, and have consolidated a platform for international interdisciplinary exchange on Evolutionary Linguistics, thereby promoting the development of this field of research.
